The classic local bagel shop, but somehow better. Big Daddy’s Bagels, located on 106 North Rubey Drive in downtown Golden, this inviting store sits alongside its fellow restaurants. Inspired by East Coast-style bagels, the Big Daddy’s Bagels franchise was established in 1996, and the Golden location was founded in 2005. Even before entering, you can smell the delicious scent of fresh bagels wafting through the air, beckoning you to come in. Inside, they offer a wide selection of bagels and spreads, plus pizza and muffins. They also offer a variety of beverages to complement the food. My personal favorite order is the parmesan bagel and a soda. While ordering, the employees were welcoming and gave me excellent bagel recommendations. After you order, there are both indoor and outdoor seating options to enjoy your meal. The bagels themselves were incredible with their classic schmear of cream cheese and a refreshment. Overall, this simple bagel shop was a unique experience and made for a fun lunch run. –Shae Huisjen
