Universal Dance Association (UDA), is a several-day overnight training camp for middle school, high school, and college dance teams during the summer months. Teams learn choreography, build and work on technical skills, and bond. It is an exhausting experience yet highly rewarding, as it sets your team up for the upcoming competition

season. This camp provides new and fresh choreography for football games and national events that teams are allowed to use. The environment is intense and physically exhausting due to the very long and jam packed daily schedules. Though exhausting and demanding, I would consider it to be a very memorable time for teams that prepares dancers to be able to work and dance well together. Dancers and coaches praise the very talented staff for being friendly, motivating, and patient. Teams also learn very versatile routines that they may not normally train in, therefore expanding their dance experience. Overall, dance teams who participate in this overnight camp leave with new choreography, amazing memories, and a stronger team. – Merrin Overholt
